Lancôme Reformulated Teint Idole Foundation - Is it a Hit or Miss?
One of my all time favorite foundations is Lancôme’s Teint Idole Ultra Wear Foundation. The brand has recently reformulated this foundation. As soon as I heard the news I immediately got nervous because I feel that every time a brand reformulates a product, it ends up being NOOO BUENOO!! I am a firm believer in - if it doesn’t broke, don’t fix it! With me knowing how PERFECT this foundation was, I thought “why would Lancôme need to even touch this formula”?
As a girlie with acne prone and textured skin, I have found it hard to find foundations that work for my skin. With these skin conditions, you can to ensure you are using makeup products that are non-comedogenic and fragrance-free. Lancôme’s Teint Idole foundation was the first foundation that I experienced through my acne journey that checked these marks and performed more than well on my skin.
Based on my research, Lancôme has reformulated their Teint Idole foundation to introduce new shades - specifically to the medium, medium deep & deep spectrum of their shade range - to better match undertones. This foundation is now formulated with Hyaluronic Acid, Vitamin E, Moringa Seed Extract & Prebiotics. So not does it claim to be a thin, breathable, sweat-proof, waterproof, long-wearing foundation - but it now has skincare benefits!
Lancôme has also included Ultra Marine Blue pigment to produce pure, deep shades without a grey cast. They also included Chromium Oxide Green Pigment in olive shades so they aren’t too yellow or orange.
